“Home Fridays” Helps Vacation Home Owners Start Their Vacations Sooner!

Skis tuned, hot tub cranked up, fridge stocked…all before you arrive!
Ever arrive to your second home on a Friday night in anticipation of a great vacation,
only to find a dark front yard and entrance, cold house and empty refrigerator?
Home Fridays was designed just for you.

15 September 2005—Bend, Oregon Home Fridays, a new Bend-based property management and concierge company, recently launched its unique service packages for those who own second homes in the Central Oregon area. This includes people who make their primary residences in other parts of Oregon, the Northwest, California and any other part of the country or world! Home Fridays will be offering several needed services to the swiftly growing second-home market, such as cleaning, lawn care, groceries, security and vendor management.

According to the National Association of Realtors the second home market is booming, with a record 2.82 million vacation homes purchased in 2004 alone—up a whopping 16% from the year before. Rated as one of the top 10 places to purchase a second home by MSN Money, Central Oregon is filled with second homes. And these homes need special attention.

“When you own a second home, there are so many time-consuming details to attend to after you have been away,” said Shannon Bassett, co-founder of Home Fridays. “When people arrive at their vacation homes, they want to truly be on vacation, and not have to worry about things like stocking the refrigerator, arranging lawn care, cleaning, security services and repairs. We can even make sure that the hot tub is hot, your skis are tuned and your 2nd vehicle is detailed and gassed-up!”

Home Fridays, whose motto is, “Your 2nd home - our 1st priority,” personalizes its inexpensive service packages to fit each homeowner’s needs. Their list of available services includes:

· Hiring and managing service vendors including snow removal, housecleaners and landscapers

· Handling special repairs such as meeting a plumber on the property and locking up afterwards

· Shopping from an owner-prepared list of groceries and household items— all purchased, delivered, and put away before the owners’ arrival in town

· Closing the house down after departure: changing the sheets, emptying the fridge, handling garbage removal, turning down the heat and closing up the house

· Performing weekly tasks: taking out garbage, bringing in the mail, watering indoor plants and checking home security

· Much more!

Services cost just $25 per hour for concierge services and from $50 to $150 per visit for general housekeeping and yard maintenance. Seasonal and specialty services are quoted upon request. Weekly Services are for those who just need the basics. Just $25 provides a homeowner with an array of services, include turning on or off air conditioning or heat in preparation for arrival, visually inspecting the house, verifying that doors and windows are closed and secure, bringing in mail, taking out garbage, flushing the toilets, checking phones and security systems, etc.
